It also revealed, somewhat surprisingly, just how special the new baby is.

“Freya is the only child of a player on our roster, no other players on our current roster have children,” they said.
This fact was definitely a shock to the fans.
“Oh, how times have changed,” said one fan
AFL players often have children at relatively young ages, but Hawthorn’s squad is particularly young after the club began a tough rebuild two years ago.
At 33, Brust is the old man at the club and one of the survivors of their glory years when the Hawks won three consecutive premierships between 2013-2015.
His old friend Jack Gunston, 32, is the other survivor of those stormy times.
Fans, family and AFL stars were quick to congratulate Breust and Anthea on their new arrival.
“Congratulations, enjoy this magical time and best wishes for many happy family times together,” one fan said on Instagram.
And another friend said: “So special 😍😍😍 what a sweet thing she is. Sending so much love mom, rest xxx.’
His team-mate Jarman Impey simply posted a series of love hearts, while former Hawk and Collingwood gun Tom Mitchell said: “Congratulations guys ❤️.”
Old foe and Geelong legend Joel Selwood was also one of many to wish Breust well.
Breust has played 284 games for Hawthorn since making his debut in 2011.
In his prime, the diminutive striker was a lethal marksman in front of goal and has booted over 500 big games in his illustrious career.
He is a two-time All-Australian and has been Hawthorn’s leading goalkicker five times.
Breust has managed just three games this season due to a groin problem but has been named in the squad to play St Kilda today (Saturday) in Tasmania.
After the Hawks added small forwards in the offseason, the veteran started the game as a substitute.
