Motorists looking to hit the brakes on rising cost-of-living pressures are in luck, with gas going for 99 cents a liter at a gas station in NSW.

The deal is part of a promotion between Reward Club Dreams come true (DCT) and Metro Petroleum.
After launching the promotion last week, DCT said the 99 cents per liter sale would take place at a different Metro Petroleum servo on the first Tuesday of every monthbut DCT founder John Tsingolas has confirmed to the Illawarra Mercury they’re also ‘doing this little spontaneous thing’ at Figtree on Tuesday 14th May.
Membership starts at $19.90 per month and includes savings, rewards and other benefits associated with its affiliate businesses.
There were huge queues of thirsty cars when the promotion was first run Sydneyis southwest.
Out of hours unleaded petrol was advertised in the Metro Petroleum Punchbowl for 192.7c and drivers were wanting to take advantage of savings of almost $1 per litre.
One driver in line brought his 600 liter fuel tank and told 7NEWS he intended to fill it up.
Others said the promotion saved them half their usual gas costs.
“I’m happy to wait,” said another driver.
“If I have to push the car, I have to push it.”
