McDonald’s launches $6.95 McSmart Meal deals amid cost of living crisis

McDonald’s customers will now get more bang for their bargain meal deals amid Australia’s inflation-driven cost of living crisis.
The fast food restaurant is set to offer the new McSmart Meal, which consists of two burgers, small fries and a small soft drink for just $6.95.
The bargain dining deal gives diners a choice of two cheeseburgers, two cheese chicken or one of each.

“We know how much it means to our customers to offer value and that has never been more important than it is today,” McDonald’s Australia marketing manager Tobi Fukushima said.
“Customers can now make the smart choice at Macca’s with the McSmart Meal, as part of our ongoing commitment to serving the taste customers know and love, but at even greater value.”
The McSmart Meal will be available at Macca restaurants nationwide via kiosk, front counter, drive-thru and the MyMacca app from 5 June to 3 September 2024, between 10.30am and midnight every day.
Other year-round offers at Macca’s include:
- Free-to-change menu with deals starting at $1 for a small Frozen Coca-Cola or Frozen Fanta, $2 for a hamburger and more
- Big Breakfast Deal featuring two McMuffins, two Hash Browns and a McCafé Medium Hot Coffee for $12.95
- Packs of 2, 4 or 6 to share with family and friends from $24.95
