Highway Patrol officers attempted to pull over a driver of an allegedly stolen red Mazda sedan on Kissing Point Road in Dundas at about 3:40 p.m. yesterday, police said.
After the vehicle failed to stop, the police began a pursuit.
A short time later, the Mazda crashed into another vehicle at Kissing Point Road and Quarry Road.
Police arrested a man, believed to be 24, while two other men fled on foot.
A female driver told 9News that she saw a red car speeding toward her.
“I heard the sirens, I looked in my rear view mirror and I saw this red car coming really fast behind me,” she said.
“There were cars next to me so I really couldn’t get out of the way. Then at the last minute he ducked into the right lane and I really don’t know how he didn’t kill any of us.”
The man was taken to the Gladesville Police Department where he is assisting police with investigations.
No one was injured in the accident.
