Police are investigating a horrific attack on a girl just a few hundred meters from a busy hospital precinct in Perthis in the south.
The 14-year-old was walking through an oval on Elanora Dr in Cooloongup just before 11pm on Saturday when she was approached by a man and sexually assaulted.

The girl told a friend before a report was made to the police.
The male offender has an olive or brown complexion and was wearing a green jumper and dark shorts.
The attack took place just a few hundred meters from Rockingham General Hospital.
Detectives from the Child Abuse Unit have appealed for witnesses as they work to trace the man responsible.
