Three more men charged over riots after Sydney church stabbing attack

Three more men have been charged with rioting outside a church in Wakeley after an alleged terrorist knife attack on a teenager.
Police in New South Wales say a total of 14 men have now been charged following a riot that broke out on April 15 when Assyrian preacher Bishop Mar Marie Emmanuel was allegedly stabbed by a 16-year-old boy.
Police investigators executed search warrants in Liverpool, Hinchinbrook, Fairfield, Austral and Wetherill Park on Monday targeting people who were said to have been present during the riot.
Three men, aged 25, 31 and 40, were charged with rioting on Monday.
The 31-year-old is also charged with intimidating a police officer and aggravated breaking and entering.
The 40-year-old has been charged with assaulting a police officer during a public order, causing bodily harm and trespassing with intent and trespassing in qualified circumstances.
All three men were refused police bail and appeared at the local court on Monday.
NSW Police said investigations into the riot were ongoing.
