It was supposed to be a romantic gesture from a partner in love.
But the engagement ring given to a woman was not received in the spirit in which it was intended.
The newly engaged woman is so shocked by her 1.8 carat diamond ring that she invites others to lash out at the piece.

She posted a photo of the ring in a Facebook group called “This is it, I’m ring shaming.”
“I’ve been waiting for this for YEARS. I’m literally shaking in my boots. Let me cut it short,” said the woman.
Her post was met with more than 400 comments, many brutally describing the ring as “disgusting”.
“Why did he propose with the J-LO perfume bottle ring?” one joked.
“Looks like he’s taking a nap to get bored to sleep,” added another.
“Why does it look like one of those plastic beads you get in kids’ necklace making kits?” asked a third.
“Take it off and put it in the drawer where it belongs,” added another.
The brutal swipe comes just days after another woman admitted she accidentally found an “ugly” engagement ring in her boyfriend’s room.
She came across her engagement ring on her partner’s bedside table.
“I found this on my boyfriend’s nightstand, not a fan,” she said.
“Please bake and then tell me how to tactfully say ‘No, you need to go get something different.’
The female the post garnered hundreds of comments; some suggest she sounds ungrateful, while others wonder if the special piece of jewelry is meant for her at all.
“Spicy Opinion of the Day: Buy the damn ring or say nothing.” Expensive engagement rings as a concept are weird and intimidating,” said one.
“Ugh, not a fan of the title,” added another.
